Canada finally won the gold on 'home soil'. Apparently this was the most important thing in the canadian universe. So now can the media shut up, stop talking about that and, in fact, stop saying that gold is the only things we should expect from these young men and women and take pride that our small country does very well. This given that we contribute virtually nothing to help the athletes train for their chosen sport.

I am so sick of wizened old hacks like Brain Williams pretending that they give a damn about these kids when they show their personal disappointment in them if they don't win and when they should be concentrating on providing good non-repetitive content during their coverage.

CTV is starting to look like the CBC.
